It's coming home - CIT2015

 

"CIT - International Congress on Tourism" was founded in 2010 in ISCET (Higher Institute of Business and Tourism).

The original idea was to gather professionals, academics, researchers and scholars in the field of tourism, which would provide a healthy and intense exchange of information and knowledge between countries around the world.

This meeting (CIT2010) allowed the creation of a network which then generated a new conference, initially thought to be biennial. The quality and the amount of progress on the issue transformed this periodicity to annual, after the Odense conference in Denmark CIT2012, Conference on International Tourism.

From Denmark, CIT headed to Spain, specifically to Florida Universitària, Valencia-Benidorm, which was held in April 2013. The International Conference on Innovation in Tourism and Hospitality, CIT2013, was then supported by SPACE (European Network for Business Studies and Languages), and ULYSSES FOUNDATION (Knowledge Management and Tourism-related Activities Network, composed of all UNWTO Ulysses Prize awardees, Organisations, enterprises, Institutions and Individuals concern with knowledge Relating to tourism).

In 2014, CIT travelled to Antwerp, Belgium, which hosted another conference. The event took place in AP Plantijn Artesis University College and the theme was: "The crisis of an inspiration for new Initiatives in tourism and hospitality".

In 2015, CIT returns home, the place where it was founded, ISCET, for another meeting to be held in June and this time the theme of the conference is: "The sea and tourism".
